Cold Weather Returns to Minneapolis

More icy air is on the way for Minneapolis as the now-infamous polar vortex makes its way back into the United States.

Bitter temperatures will be the rule, with highs in the teens for the weekend before dropping to the single digits. Overnight lows will drop below zero. Temperatures will be as much as 20 degrees below normal for this time of year.

Lows through next week will be in the negative single digits. With winds and other factors, however, with RealFeel® temperatures will be more than 10 degrees below actual temperatures at times.

Anyone outdoors should wear the proper clothing, as temperatures this low could cause cold-related illnesses such as hypothermia and frostbite.

Temperatures will continue to plunge throughout the week with mostly sunny skies after a somehwat cloudy start to the weekend.
