Frigid in Minneapolis Through Late Week

Arctic air will remain in place over the Upper Midwest through the rest of this week, including the Minneapolis area.

While this current polar blast will not equal what the city experienced earlier this month, temperatures will be well below average and gusty winds will make it feel brutally cold.

Temperatures through Thursday night will range from just above zero to around 15 below zero, including 24- to 36-consecutive hours when the thermometer will be below zero.

AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures will be 20 to 35 degrees below zero through Thursday night.

Friday will bring a brief break from the arctic chill, but another surge of polar air will blast through the area this weekend.

There can be a coating of snow on Friday before the weekend's arctic reinforcement.
