Plane Crashes at Aspen, Colorado Airport

A plane crashed early Sunday afternoon at the airport in Aspen, Colo., The Associated Press said.

ABC News reported that one person was dead and another injured in the fiery crash.

The Pitkin County, Colo., Sheriff's Office said it responded to the scene with other emergency crews. The plane, apparently a Bombardier Challenger 600, was landing at Aspen after its departure from Tucson, Ariz., an FAA spokesman told The AP.

It snowed overnight Sunday in Aspen, said Meteorologist Brian Edwards. It was 7 degrees and not snowing at 12:30 p.m. MST, the time when tweets from Aspen starting coming out about the crash.

Actor Kevin Nealon and country/western singer LeAnn Rimes were at the airport at the time of the incident.
