It will be a mostly sunny start the week, but some rain will arrive in time for Thanksgiving.
This will generally be good news for the region, as Los Angeles is still in an area of severe drought. The rain will also bring some needed relief farther north in the state where drought conditions are considered exceptional.
The rain on Thursday will be fairly consistent throughout the day with an afternoon break from the precipitation likely. Rain will continue through the overnight hours and into Friday evening when it will taper out and conditions will clear for a mostly sunny and dry weekend.
Highs leading into Thursday will be in the lower 70s, with highs in the upper 60s when the rain begins. Temperatures will moderate back into the 70s by week's end. Overnight lows will be in the mid- to lower 50s all week.
Watch for travel delays at airports leading up to the holiday as stormy conditions for many major East Coast hubs will like have a ripple affect across the country.
