Mild temperatures moved into the Dallas area for midweek, but an approaching cold front will drop temperatures drastically across the region into the weekend.
Air pushing down from the Arctic Circle is making its way into the Upper Midwest and will continue pushing south until it reaches Texas Thursday evening into Friday. The actual high temperatures for the Dallas area this weekend will be in the upper 40s, nearly 30 degrees lower than they were at midweek. Overnight lows will plunge down into the mid-30s, liekly bringing some frosts and freezes to the area.
Precipitation is also likely. Thunderstorms will be around throughout the afternoon on Thursday. Shower chances and some gusty winds will also invade the area on Friday. Shower chances diminish for the weekend but are still present, with mostly cloudy skies.
