The American League Championship Series will start on a brisk note with better weather to follow for Game 2.
The Boston Red Sox host the Detroit Tigers for Games 1 and 2 of the ALCS this weekend.
Clouds will cover Fenway Park, a brisk northeasterly wind will be blowing and the temperature for the first pitch will be 57 degrees Saturday evening for Game 1. There will be considerable cloudiness with areas of drizzle.
Clearer skies, less wind and no threat of rain will follow for Sunday evening's Game 2 as high pressure builds into the Northeast.
The first pitch temperature for Game 2 will be around 55 degrees, then will fall into and through the lower 50s as the game progresses.
A greater chance for rain to dampen the ALCS will come as the series heads to Detroit Tuesday and Wednesday.
A shower is possible late Tuesday afternoon with steadier rain likely to come after the conclusion of Game 3, scheduled to start at 4 p.m. EDT. A bit more rain could follow for Wednesday and Game 4.
