This week bears a stark contrast to last week in Chicago, when severe weather moved through the city with heavy rain and damaging winds; only warmth and sunshine are in the forecast.
The high temperature Tuesday and Wednesday will push into the ballpark of 70 degrees with mostly sunny skies. Overnight, temperatures will drop to the low to mid-50s.
Thursday and Friday will warm further with temperatures nearing 72 and 73 degrees. Overnight lows will rise to around 60 degrees.
The best chance to get outdoors will be during the week, as the weekend will bring clouds and the chance of a thunderstorm. Highs will hover in the mid-70s.
