As Karen comes barreling towards the coast, Atlanta should enjoy a few sunny days before experiencing its moisture.
Saturday will bring much of the same weather the city has been seeing: sunshine, temperatures in the mid-80s and dry conditions.
Cloudiness will increase Sunday afternoon as a front moving from the west enters the area. A shower or thunderstorm could arrive as well, though any activity should be short-lived in the afternoon.
Sunday night into Monday, the area could start to feel the effects of land-fallen Karen. If that tropical moisture pushes into Georgia as expected, Atlanta could get periods of prolonged, heavy rain to start next week.
