Detroit: Week to End Warm, Stormy

After clear skies kicked off the week in Detroit, clouds and storms will close out the weekend.

Temperatures will push to 75 Thursday afternoon, as a couple of thunderstorms linger in the area. Clouds will build overnight as temperatures drop to 69 degrees.

Friday and Saturday will feature unseasonable warmth as the mercury pushes to 80 degrees in the afternoon hours. Mostly cloudy skies will again give way to thunderstorms.

High school and college football games could face cancellations on both days.

The threat of showers will remain on Sunday, though a break in the heat will arrive. Temperatures will drop to the upper 60s on Sunday with cloudy skies. Overnight, the low will fall into the upper 40s for the first time all week.
