Though the official start of fall begins on Sunday, Chicago is clinging on to some late-summer warmth.
After some daytime and evening showers Friday, the weekend will be warm and sunny for the city and the surrounding areas.
Saturday temperatures will push to the high 60s before dropping to the low 50s at night. The day could be breezy, so those spending time outside may want to bring a light jacket for the evening hours.
Sunday will bring lots of sunshine and a high of 65 degrees. Nighttime will be cool with temperatures in the lows 50s.
The weekend will precede a week of sunshine and temperatures between 60 and 70 degrees.
