WATCH: Timelapse Captures Massive Rim Fire Destruction

The official Youtube account of Yosemite National Park posted footage Wednesday of the massive Rim Fire as viewed from the Crane Flat Helibase and the Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park.

As of Thursday morning, the fire had spread to more than 190,000 acres and was 30 percent contained. More than 4,500 people are actively fighting the blaze.

The National Park staff maintains that the fire is still burning in the wilderness and is not immediately threatening visitors or employees. They also attest that smoke has had little impact on the Yosemite Valley.
