This Thursday, on our newest edition of AccuWeather LIVE, we'll be discussing the upcoming peak of hurricane season and what you can do to prepare for it.
Leslie Chapman-Henderson, president and CEO of the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes, will join us with Dr. Rick Knabb, director of NOAA's National Hurricane Center, to discuss what homeowners should do to prepare themselves for evacuation when a storm approaches. They intend to emphasize the importance of planning ahead before a storm comes through to make sure that all emergency kits, evacuation routes and insurance policies are ready when the time comes for a hurricane or tropical storm to hit.
Adrienne Green will also give the latest update on activity in the tropics, and Justin Povick will give the general forecast for the nation.
We'll also take another look at the fall forecast and what our long-range forecasting team is expecting the country to see in terms of patterns for the fall season.
As always, we'll be answering the questions and comments that our viewers send in, as well as taking a look at their submitted photos. To ask or send us something you'd like to see on air, visit us on Facebook, Twitter or Google+, and be sure to tune in Thursday at 4 p.m. EDT to see if your content made it onto the show.
