Dry Weather This Weekend for PGA Championship

After soggy conditions for the first two rounds of the PGA Championship, dry weather and low humidity will be the rule for the final two rounds.

This year, the PGA Championship is being held at the Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y.

A cold front swept through the area on Friday, with cooler temperatures and lower humidity rushing in behind.

The golfers will have to make some adjustments with the changing weather conditions. The forecast for Saturday calls for lots of sunshine, lower humidity and a bit of a breeze kicking up at times.

With those conditions, the fairways and greens will lose some of the moisture they absorbed over the past two days.

As a result, the players' putts should roll faster than they did Thursday and Friday, and they should get a bit more roll in the fairways. This will especially be the case during the afternoon.

There was an hour delay in the first round on Thursday afternoon due to heavy thunderstorms moving through the area.

Rain persisted through the morning hours Friday, but it dried out in the afternoon with some peeks of sun late in the day.

Winds will be a bit stronger Saturday afternoon compared to Friday, and will present a challenge to the players.

The forecast for Sunday in the Rochester area will be beautiful sunshine and low humidity.
