Strong, fast-moving storms are moving over Boston bringing the threat for heavy downpours, potentially damaging winds and small hail.
"The action will be through the early evening, before quieting down overnight," AccuWeather.com Expert Senior Meteorologist Dave Dombeck said.
Storms are moving quickly and will not linger over any given area for too long, reducing the risk for flooding.
Hartford will be under the gun this evening, as well, with the greatest threats lasting between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.
As with any storm, if you are close enough to hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Keep an eye to the sky and move indoors as storms approach.
