Dry Weather Served Up for the French Open

As the French Open heads into the second and final week of play at the famed Roland Garros Stadium in Paris, dry weather will prevail Sunday.

High pressure will allow for partly sunny skies Sunday, with seasonably cool air in the middle 60s F. Light breezes of 7-14 mph will also prevail, making it feel a bit cooler as well. The normal high temperature for Paris is 70 F.

This dome of high pressure will provide dry weather to Paris through at least the middle of the week, with temperatures generally a few degrees below normal.

Rain caused significant delays to the tournament on Thursday, forcing some matches to be concluded Friday. Some players were also forced to have matches scheduled on back-to-back days, something that doesn't normally occur.

The next chance for rain appears to target the area late in the week and next weekend as a storm system approaches from the Atlantic Ocean. Final round of play is currently scheduled for next weekend.
