Testimony is set to resume in Jodi Arias' murder trial as the prosecution continues with its rebuttal case ahead of closing arguments.
The defense rested last week, but is hoping to get the judge to allow another witness.
An ex-girlfriend of the man Arias says she killed in self-defense testified Tuesday that with her, the victim was never abusive.
Arias' lawyers have portrayed her as a domestic violence victim. Arias claims her one-time boyfriend physically abused her and that on the day he died, she feared for her life.
Testimony continues Wednesday afternoon.
Arias faces a potential death sentence if convicted of first-degree murder in the June 2008 killing of Travis Alexander at his suburban Phoenix home.
Authorities say she planned the attack in a jealous rage. Arias says it was self-defense.
