They went to a club called Pulse to celebrate and be with friends, and ended up dying in the worst terror attack on American soil since 9/11. These are some of the victims of Sunday's rampage.

Eric Ivan Ortiz-Rivera

36-year-old Eric Ivan Ortiz-Rivera, originally from Puerto Rico, had moved to Florida to advance in his career in merchandise management.

"Eric was always willing to help everybody. He sacrificed himself a lot for his family," his former roommate, Abismel Colon Gomez, told the Orlando Sentinel. "He loved his brother, and he was always being generous."

Luis Omar Ocasio-Capo

Luis Omar Ocasio-Capo, a 20-year-old dancer, was one of the first victims whose name was released to the public.

Luis S. Vielma

Luis S. Vielma, 22, worked as a production assistant at the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride at Universal Studios Orlando theme park and had attended Seminole State College of Florida.

Juan Ramon Guerrero

Juan Ramon Guerrero, 22, was among those killed at Pulse. He attended the nightclub with boyfriend Christopher Leinonen, who is still unaccounted for, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Stanley Almodovar III, a 23-year-old pharmacy technician, was described by family members as "an amazing person with a good soul."

Edward Sotomayor, Jr.

Edward Sotomayor, Jr., 34, was a brand manager for LGBT travel agency ALandCHUCK.travel and was known as "Top-Hat Eddie" for the hat that he would often wear to various events.

Peter Gonzalez-Cruz

Peter Gonzalez-Cruz, 22, also known as Peter Ommy on social media and among friends, was originally from New Jersey and was working in Orlando for UPS. He also lived in Africa for a time.
