Police say Spierer, right, was last seen by a male friend walking toward the Smallwood apartment complex after a night out with friends.
Authorities say Spierer, right, who is 4-foot-11 with blonde hair and blue eyes, was walking barefoot to her apartment. Her cellphone and shoes were left behind at Kilroy's Sports Bar where she had been partying earlier with friends. Her purse and some keys were reportedly found along the route to her apartment.
Police and the woman's family have said Spierer suffers from a heart condition that requires her to take medication daily.
No suspects have so far been identified in the case.
The woman's parents, Robert and Charlene Spierer, flew from their home in Westchester County, N.Y., to help in several searches for their daughter.
The student's picture has been plastered on flyers throughout Bloomington in hopes someone will recognize her.
Scores of volunteers have fanned out looking for Spierer in downtown Bloomington as well as in nearby construction sites and land around area lakes.
