Police say a Virginia man drove to Pennsylvania to see a 12-year-old girl he had met online, then took her to a hotel before authorities arrested him.
The Lancaster Intelligencer-Journal (http://bit.ly/1p7Ik3D ) reports that a Manheim Township woman called police Friday afternoon when her daughter didn't come home from school. She told police her daughter had been seen getting into a man's car.
Within 30 minutes, police found the man's car in a Harrisburg Pike hotel parking lot, took him into custody and rescued the girl.
Thirty-year-old Nelson E. Hercules Jr., of Virginia Beach, faces charges including attempted rape of a child, indecent assault and kidnapping of a minor.
Hercules is being held on $250,000 bond. No attorney is listed in court papers.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
