An Illinois man accused of kidnapping his estranged girlfriend from Kentucky and fatally shooting her along a highway in Ohio has been found guilty of aggravated murder and kidnapping.
A Warren County jury on Tuesday found 43-year-old Terry Froman guilty in the September 2014 kidnapping and slaying of 34-year-old Kimberly Thomas, of Mayfield, Kentucky. Authorities say Froman kidnapped Thomas and fatally shot her in his vehicle as he drove along Interstate 75 in Warren County.
Prosecutors say Froman warned he would make Thomas lose everything after she told him to move from her home.
Froman's attorney had said the evidence at trial would show "mitigating factors."
Froman could face the death penalty.
The Brookport, Illinois, man also faces Kentucky charges in the slaying of Thomas' 17-year-old son, Michael E. Mohney.
