A tourist was clobbered by a wooden hammock in Manhattan Tuesday when a strong wind sent the piece of outdoor furniture sailing off a five story rooftop.

The freak accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. as the 48-year-old British tourist was walking on a Tribeca street with her husband, according to police sources.

“It fell! It hit her!” cried a man who was walking with the victim, witnesses recounted.

“I heard a loud boom, and when I ran out, I saw a hammock on the sidewalk and the woman lying down right next to the hammock,” said Baby Rashad, a manager at nearby store De Janeiro. “She couldn’t move. She’s in bad shape. Her left leg was twisted up.”

She complained of pain in her head, back and legs and was taken to Bellevue Hospital, according to police.

Authorities believe wind may have swept the hammock from a terrace five stories above at 110 Church Street, and an investigation is ongoing, officials said.
