Authorities in Kentucky say three teenage girls are recovering after having been shot in downtown Louisville following an argument at a club.

News agencies report that Louisville Metro Police say the shooting happened early Sunday morning.

Police say the three girls were attending an event at Club 116 when they got into an altercation.

Officials say the teenagers left the club, but were followed by the suspects who fired at the victims' vehicle. WLKY-TV identifies the victims as two 14-year-old girls and one 15-year-old.

Police say the injuries are non-life-threatening and all three teenagers were taken to the hospital.

A community activist Christopher 2X said he spoke to one of the girls, who said they were attending a teen event at the club.

No arrests had been made as of late Sunday.
