A North Carolina mom allegedly chained her children to their beds before locking them inside their room, WBTV reports.
Authorities responded to a Charlotte home Tuesday and found a bed in the hallway with “two metal linked chains on each end of the bed with small master locks attached to them,” a search warrant said.
While at the scene, officers found pictures on the woman’s phone of four children with chains around their wrist and waist.
Officials also found bruising on the children that was consistent with being constrained.
30-year-old Melissa Gonzalez is charged with 15 counts of false imprisonment and 15 counts of child abuse with serious physical injury.
