Dismembered body found in Kentucky river

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. – Authorities were investigating the discovery of a dismembered body found in a container floating in the Green River in central Kentucky on Saturday.

The body was found by someone fishing in Hart County, according to media reports.

Hart County Coroner Reggie Pettit took the remains to the state medical examiner's office, where an autopsy was to be performed. No additional information was immediately available.
