Videos support Tennessee police account of 2015 shooting

Video from nine police car cameras appears to support previous police accounts of the Dec. 12 fatal shooting of a black Tennessee man who authorities said threatened a child and an officer who tried to help.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press (http://bit.ly/29WEE1E ) reports the videos show Chattanooga officers outside a home repeatedly telling Javario (ha-BA'-ree-oh) Eagle to put down his gun. Eagle, who was with his 4-year-old daughter, was armed with a sword, bayonet and pistol.

The videos show that Eagle ignored more than 40 commands to drop his gun.

Police say they shot Eagle when he "moved aggressively" and brandished his weapons after the girl was rescued by an officer.

Hamilton County District Attorney General Neal Pinkston announced in February that the officers were justified in the shooting.
