Deputies are looking for five men in connection with a home invasion in South Carolina that left a man dead and a woman injured.
Berkeley County Chief Deputy Mike Cochran tells local media outlets that the victims were returning to their home in Huger in the Francis Marion National Forest about 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
Cochran says the five men confronted the victims, forced them inside and there was a fight in which the man was shot and killed. The woman was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
The suspects fled in two cars they took from the home.
One car was stopped about 5 miles away and the men inside fled into the forest. Deputies are still looking for the other car.
