State police say more than a dozen people have been arrested during a drug sweep of a Hudson Valley heroin-trafficking ring.

Troopers say the raids on Tuesday in the Orange County city of Newburgh were carried out by local and state police as part of “Operation Punch Out.”

State police say drugs, cash and other property were seized.

Fifteen people were arraigned in court in Goshen.

More details are expected to be released Wednesday morning when state police and other law enforcement agencies hold a news conference.

The drug sweep comes six days after the nine people were arrested in Newburgh and charged with dealing large quantities of crack cocaine.
