When former Providence Mayor Buddy Cianci (see-AN'-see) died unexpectedly in January, he left behind several charitable and business ventures, including his self-branded pasta sauce, a scholarship fund and plans for a library to house 40 years' worth of memorabilia.

His family is sorting through that legacy.

Cianci held office for more than 21 years, but was forced from his seat twice due to felonies.

Brad Turchetta (tur-KET'-ah) says his uncle's pasta sauce and scholarships will continue. He says they're even considering creating a Cianci Foundation to advance the causes he loved.

Turchetta says the family is cataloging more than 54 pallets of memorabilia. Cianci's collection includes artwork, a park bench and a "Free Buddy" t-shirt.
