Ever heard of biohacking? If not, this video interview with Dave Asprey will open your eyes to ways you can improve your health that you've probably never heard of.
Asprey, the founder of Bulletproof Coffee -- a healthy buttery coffee mixture -- and the author of New York Times bestseller The Bulletproof Diet, talks to Spartan UP! podcast host Joe De Sena about biohacking, which uses various old and modern methods to improve things like nutrition and digestion, physical and mental performance and oxygen levels. It also explores "the flow state" -- that state you can get to through extreme athletic performance or artistic activities but is the most difficult to pin down.
Asprey also talks about how unhealthy skepticism prevents people from exploring their own methods of biohacking.
"There's a feeling of helplessness," he says. "If you believe you are your body, then you're going to say, well this is me, and I've failed. But when you realize, wait a minute -- this is my meat, and my meat has an operating system, and you can modify the hardware, and you can modify the software. All the sudden, it's like -- OK, this is a game-changer."
