Perhaps trying to cash in on the success of the R-rated comic book flick Deadpool, Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for its upcoming adults-only animated feature film Batman: The Killing Joke.

Based on the iconic graphic novel by Alan Moore (of Watchmen fame), the story follows a guy who suffers a nervous breakdown after one really bad day and becomes The Joker (voiced by Mark "Luke Skywalker" Hamill!). And if the Joker has a bad day, everyone has a bad day.

The movie is slated to premiere this July at San Diego Comic-Con, but if you can't wait that long, we recommend reading Moore's amazing book.
