A former fugitive has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the 1996 stabbing death of a fellow caddy at a suburban New York country club.
Defendant Gifton "Michael" Cousins was located in October in Kingston, Jamaica, and returned to New York.
Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty says Cousins pleaded guilty on Monday.
Victim Jason Campbell was stabbed in the chest during a fight at the Pelham (PEHL'-uhm) Country Club in Pelham Manor.
Campbell stumbled toward the pro shop and collapsed as Cousins fled. He later died at a hospital.
The prosecutor says Cousins faces between five and 25 years in prison when he's sentenced in June.
