Investigators have identified a central Missouri man who authorities say may have been killed by a suspect in a Kansas quadruple slaying.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says sheriff's deputies responding to a reported shooting Tuesday morning at a rural home found the body of 49-year-old Randy J. Nordman. Authorities say Nordman lived at the Montgomery County property.

The patrol says the suspect in the shooting is 36-year-old Pablo Serrano, who also is suspected of killing four men Monday night at his neighbor's house in Kansas City, Kansas.

The patrol says the truck Serrano is believed to have been driving was found abandoned about five miles from Nordman's home. The patrol says a witness reported seeing a man running away from Nordman's property, but investigators haven't releasing further details.

The search is ongoing in central Missouri for Serrano. Investigators say he may be armed and should be considered dangerous.
