A gunman forced an Arizona mother to take her 2-month-old baby from a stroller and walk to a pathway where he sexually assaulted the woman, police said.

The attack occurred on Wednesday as the woman walked home after buying groceries at a Tucson store.

Police said the victim and unharmed baby were taken to a hospital. Police were still searching for the gunman on Thursday.

Police said the mother told officers a young, thin Hispanic man pointed a handgun at her back and forced her to go with the baby to the walking path.

A school was put on lockdown while officers searched for the man. Police are asking for the public's help in finding him.
