BRANCHBURG, N.J. – Authorities say a 911 call from a distraught, blood-covered man led them to the bodies of two elderly people who were found inside his home.
Somerset County prosecutors in New Jersey say 20-year-old Ezra Simon-Daniels, of Branchburg Township, faces first-degree murder charges. His bail was set at $2 million. It wasn't known Sunday if he has an attorney.
Prosecutors say Simon-Daniels called Readington Township police around 6 a.m. Saturday. He told them he was in a local business' parking lot. Officers found him covered in blood and sitting in the driver's seat of a car.
Readington police contacted Branchburg officers for help. They found a man and a woman with significant blunt force trauma to their heads at the Simon-Daniels' home.
Police declined comment on any possible relation between Simon-Daniels and the victims.
