MINNEAPOLIS – The latest on Black Lives Matter demonstrations to protest the police killing of a young black man in Minneapolis (all times local):

Police reports show that five men and three women were arrested in protests that briefly shut down a terminal at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
The reports released Thursday say eight were arrested on charges ranging from unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct to obstructing police during a Black Lives Matter demonstration Wednesday.
The eight range in age from 18 to 36 years, and came from as far away as Massachusetts.
The airport protest occurred soon after protesters were ordered to leave the nearby Mall of America. The demonstration blocked traffic and led to airport security checkpoint closures.
Arrest reports show five people were released and given a court date and one was taken to a hospital. Jail records show another remains in custody.
Four people were arrested at the mall for trespassing or disorderly conduct violations.

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport police are out in full force to ensure smooth Christmas Eve travel a day after a mass protest led to disruptions.
Airport spokesman Patrick Hogan said Thursday that there's no reason to believe there will be a repeat of protests that led to traffic backups and security checkpoint shutdowns at a secondary terminal Wednesday.
He says eight people were arrested at the airport during the Black Lives Matter-organized protest that began at the nearby Mall of America. Hogan says six people were cited on trespass charges and released while two were taken into custody on gross misdemeanor charges.
