Police say a Pennsylvania driver struck a pedestrian in front of officers looking into an earlier report of a pedestrian hit.
The Harrisburg police officers went to an area near a bar around 2 a.m. Sunday after a 911 caller reported a pedestrian having been struck. They found no victim.
Pennlive.com reports (http://bit.ly/1Nt9YQI ) a driver then ran over a pedestrian right in front of the officers and sped away.
Police Sgt. Kyle Gautsch says the victim, a 26-year-old man, refused medical attention. Officers eventually caught up with the 21-year-old driver, Jarae Lee.
Police say Lee appeared intoxicated and kicked an officer in the chest. She faces charges including aggravated assault. Online court documents don't list a lawyer for her.
Police never found the victim from the original call.
