A college student is pleading guilty to assaulting a flight attendant during a flight from Seattle to Maui.
Eric Matthew Schneider was charged with interfering with a flight crew, a felony, after the FBI accused him of drunkenly threatening to kill passengers, shoving an attendant and busting out of plastic handcuffs in August.
In a deal with prosecutors, Schneider pleaded guilty Monday to misdemeanor assault.
Schneider says he was drinking before and during the flight and behaving belligerently, yelling obscenities and making threats. He says he hit a flight attendant while flailing his arms as he was being restrained.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Tom Brady says Schneider urinated all over the floors and walls of a restroom.
He's banned from flying on Delta Air Lines.
