Tucson, Arizona, police say a man fatally shot a shoplifting suspect after following him from a convenience store and getting into a confrontation with him in a nearby parking lot.
Police say 46-year-old Gerald Ramon was shot on Sunday after he picked up a large log, held it over his shoulder and moved toward the other man.
The man who shot Ramon remained at the scene, cooperated with police and has not been arrested. His identity has not been released.
According to police, the man was one of multiple people who witnessed the shoplifting.
