The latest on the trial of a man suspected in the beating death of two homeless men (all times local):
10:55 a.m.
Jurors are watching video of police interviewing a suspect charged in the killing of two homeless men in Albuquerque.
The interview was being shown in court Friday in the trial of Alex Rios, one of three suspects accused of attacking the men as they slept in July 2014.
In the interview, Detective Geoff Stone tells then-18-year-old Rios that the vacant lot where Allison Gorman and Kee Thompson were killed was a "horrible" scene. Stone also says the men's murders were among the "most violent" he had seen in his career.
Police say Rios and two friends fatally beat the men with cinder blocks, a metal pole and other objects.
Rios faces two counts of first-degree murder and more than a dozen other charges in the case.
His attorney says he didn't participate in the attack.
