Police at Los Angeles International Airport responded Thursday morning to reports of an unauthorized person on a jet bridge, local media reported.

There were no arrests.

The airport said in a statement that an LAPD bomb squad cleared JetBlue Flight 24 after the security issue. The airline said in a statement that authorities searched the plane and cleared the aircraft and luggage.

"LAPD Bomb Squad searched and cleared the aircraft and luggage at 1015 a.m.  The aircraft was released to the airline and will be towed back to Terminal 3.

Airport Police is continuing the investigation and is coordinating with JetBlue officials to identify the unauthorized person.  All other operations at LAX are operating normally, the statement said.

"The aircraft and luggage are undergoing additional security screening out of an abundance of caution," the airline said. "No customers were onboard the aircraft. Once the aircraft is cleared, the flight will continue on to JFK."
