A funeral will be held in New York City today for a city police officer killed while chasing an armed man. Thousands are expected to attend the funeral for Officer Randolph Holder, who was shot in the head Oct. 20 in Manhattan's East Harlem neighborhood.
The Rev. Al Sharpton had been scheduled to deliver the eulogy but said he changed his mind because he didn't want to spark a confrontation that could turn the funeral into a "sideshow."
