Police say they found the man accused of pulling out a gun at the Community College of Philadelphia Tuesday, as officials lifted the lockdown there.
Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey said that the 17-year-old suspect is under arrest, and that the search for a weapon was ongoing.
Police tell Fox News a student called 911, saying a man he recognized as a fellow student had pulled a gun on him around 10 a.m. ET. Officer Leeloni Palmiero said the two men had at least one other altercation in the past.
The accused gunman did not fire any shots, according to police. They tell Fox News the incident is "not related in any way" to a recent FBI warning about an online posting that threatened violence at schools in the city. The warning led colleges and universities to increase their security Monday.
Officials closed the community college for the rest of the day Tuesday.
