A spokesman for a Pennsylvania school district says a student has attacked a security guard by pouring gasoline hidden onside a soda can on him.

Wilkinsburg School District spokesman Pete Camarda says the school was evacuated Monday morning. He says officials are contacting parents of students in the seventh- through 12th- grade school in Pittsburgh's eastern suburbs so they can be picked up.

Camarda says the student was involved in some kind of incident Friday and returned to school Monday morning with a soda can filled with what appeared to be gasoline.

The spokesman says the student poured the fuel on the guard and the floor after 9 a.m. but didn't light it.

The student is in police custody. The guard isn't believed to be seriously injured.
