GREENWOOD, S.C. – Authorities say the body of a baby has been found in a trash bin at a South Carolina apartment complex.
Investigators told media outlets the body was found Wednesday in the Wisewood Apartments in Greenwood, about 80 miles west of Columbia. Details about how the baby was found were not released.
The coroner's office and deputies are investigating. An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday to determine how the infant died.
No other information was released.
