Authorities are searching the water off the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge for a woman who either jumped or fell as she tried to evade police after crashing a stolen car.
California Highway Patrol Officer Vu Williams tells San Francisco Bay Area news station KNTV-TV (http://bit.ly/1MjXVY8 ) that the woman was among three who ran from the crash on the bridge as officers responded early Wednesday.
Williams says the driver climbed over a guardrail and either slipped or jumped 75 feet into the water.
The other women were found, but it's not clear whether they were arrested.
Authorities say the CHP, the Coast Guard and Oakland firefighters are searching the water for the woman.
