Mom, daughter stabbed to death in Pennsylvania; younger girl hospitalized with serious wounds

QUARRYVILLE, Pa. – Police say a Pennsylvania woman and her 16-year-old daughter have been found stabbed to death in their home, and a 15-year-old daughter is being treated for serious stab wounds.

State police did not identify a suspect in the stabbings early Thursday in a Quarryville-area home.

Troopers say they were called to the home at 2:20 a.m. and found the bodies of the 16-year-old and her 44-year-old mother in the basement. The 15-year-old daughter is listed in critical but stable condition at a hospital.

Police say they believe the victims know the suspect and they have no public safety concerns. Officers are using dogs to search the area.
