A former Los Angeles police officer charged with killing a man while off-duty has been returned to Southern California from Texas.
Authorities say Henry Solis was escorted by detectives and booked into Pomona's jail Thursday afternoon.
His return came on the same day that a jury in Texas found his father guilty of making false statements to the FBI to prevent authorities from finding Solis.
Pomona police Lt. Hector Rodriguez says 27-year-old Henry Solis will be arraigned Friday. After that, he'll be taken to Los Angeles County jail to await a preliminary hearing.
Solis was arrested last week in Mexico after evading authorities for more than two months.
He was sought in the shooting death of 23-year-old Salome Rodriguez following a dispute outside a nightclub in March.
