MMA, or mixed martial arts, is a billion-dollar industry with some of the most powerful fans on earth: our nation's military members.
Last year, we stopped by the MMA World Expo in New York City to learn all about the businesses in the industry. We stepped into the fight cage with Anthony Medina, founder and CEO of Fighters Source, an international league for amateur MMA fighters that has been steadily growing since its founding in 2012.
In the video above, Medina shares what he learned while building a sports startup and explains why his company supports those who serve in the military. Says Medina, not only are many MMA enthusiasts U.S. military men, women and veterans, but the armed forces and mixed martial arts also share the principles of "discipline, honor and respect."
