Authorities in Southern California say officers pulled over a car and ended up freeing a suspected rape and kidnapping victim and arresting three men in the abduction.
Pomona officials said in a statement Monday that officers tried to stop a car for an unspecified traffic violation Friday. During a short chase, police saw a gun get thrown from the car.
When the vehicle finally stopped, three men and a woman inside surrendered. The 44-year-old woman told police she had been kidnapped by the men and raped by a fourth man who wasn't in the car.
The suspect in the rape was tracked to a home in Claremont and arrested.
The three men in the car were taken into custody on suspicion of kidnapping.
