SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Authorities say three people have been shot near the University of California, Santa Barbara campus but there are no other details.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department tweeted Monday night that the people were shot in the 65-hundred block of Sabado Tarde in the Isla Vista area.
That's about a block from campus in an area of small apartments.
The shooting comes about a week before the anniversary of a deadly May 23, 2014 attack in Isla Vista. In a stabbing and shooting spree, Elliot Rodger killed six people and injured 14 others near campus before killing himself.
